The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation’s signature fundraising event is the National Garage Sale for Shelter, a one-day charity garage sale held at hundreds of Royal LePage offices and other community locations across Canada. All proceeds from the event support local women’s shelters and violence prevention programs. Royal LePage covers that administrative costs of the Shelter Foundation and sponsors cover event expenses so 100% of all funds raised goes directly to helping our cause.

This coming May 13th will mark our 8th annual participation in the Royal LePage National Garage Sale for Shelter where all proceeds go towards Womens Shelters across Canada.  Every dollar raised here in Guelph, will stay here in Guelph.

Members of the community are encouraged to get involved. You can help abused women and their children by hosting your own garage sale this year.

WHAT TO DO! – Register your Garage Sale with us for a minimum $25.00 donation to The Shelter Foundation and we will advertise for you; Please note that 100% of the registration funds go directly to Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis.

WHY REGISTER WITH US?

We do the marketing for you!  When you participate in our Community Garage Sale For Shelter your garage sale will be exposed to tens of thousands more people than if you were to do it on your own. It will be included on our online map of garage sales for that day and sent out via all of our social media feeds as well as distributed to approximately 45,000 homes in Guelph and Surrounding areas through print media. Not only will you be getting rid of your unwanted goods but you will be helping to support the local community.

Each registered contributor/household will receive a tax receipt for their donation (registration fee).

KEEP THE PROCEEDS OR DONATE!

At the end of the sale you will have the choice of keeping the proceeds you make or donating them to the cause – Guelph Wellington Women in Crisis.

Won’t you please take a moment to “save the date” in your calendar. Garage Sales will start at 8am and go until Noon. Not only is this a great day to come out, pick up some new “treasures”, meet some great people and support a very worthwhile cause, but it’s also a great opportunity to De-Clutter For A Cause if you’re hosting a garage sale. You can use this as an opportunity to thin out some of those extra treasures you have around your home, cottage or office that you’ve been meaning to get rid of.
