Here we find ourselves on the brink of our 2nd Covid Holiday season. How the world has changed in the last 2 years! Some say that their life has become calmer and more peaceful since the pandemic started. Others can’t wait to get back to a new normal and getting back to meeting with friends, family, and colleagues like we used to – get back to hugging, get back to life….
However your life has changed over the past 2 years, I know that the real estate roller coaster of the past 21 months has brought a lot of uncertainty into everyone’s mind. The biggest investment of your life for some has been a huge hurdle to achieve in this time, but for those already holding real estate investments you have seen incredible increases in your net worth, or if you have sold holdings you are now experiencing fabulous gains! And our Royal LePage experts now forecast double-digit home price growth in Canada in 2022, with pent-up demand from buyers who were unable to purchase in 2021, coupled with the growing need for shelter from new household formation and newcomers to Canada, we will continue to see upward price pressure on markets already suffering from a chronic supply shortage.
With the changes in the market and people re-evaluating their lifestyles, I have been able to help many clients transition into a new home and a new city within Ontario. I have also helped many clients transition out of province with the help of some of my trusted network partners outside my sale area, and in other provinces. As I reflect on the year, there is really no better time to say Thank You, to all those who have supported me and my business throughout the past year. Your business, loyalty, and most of all your friendship, means so very much! Everyday, I am able to work with amazing people to assist them with one of the largest investments they will make. I consider myself honoured and privileged to be their trusted resource during this milestone journey for them, and their families.
However, for some people, home is not necessarily the safe haven that most of us think of and with every sale that I assist with, I personally donate a portion of each commission to the Royal LePage Shelter foundation which is directed to support our local shelters here in Guelph & Wellington County.
This past year has been a difficult one for many and to help those in need and support our local communities that we live and work in, I have also made donations to local organizations on behalf of my clients.
