Unemployment levels remain low in the area, and real estate unit sales and inventory of homes continue to increase in Wellington County. The year-over-year sales volume is up by 16.7% and unit sales are up by 10.75%, over the same period in 2018.
The year-over-year median sales price is up 5.46%. It rose from $469,375 in 2018 to $495,000 at end of June 2019 in Wellington County. And the trend of year-to-date average sales price continued to increase by 5.63% resulting in an average sales price of $563,347 at end of June 2019.
During this period, homes continued to stay on the market approximately 2 days longer over 2018 sales, with average Days on market at 32.3 days at end of June 2019 versus 30.8 days at June 2018, but still a seller’s market by the numbers.
Overall, we continue to see real estate sales prices continue to rise across Wellington County. The average year to date sales prices in Wellington county are listed below for each type freehold vs. condominium:
Freehold Homes: $606,232 (Average sales price at June 2019)
Condominium homes: $395,160 (Average sales price at June 2019)
Vacant land sales: $562,100 (Average sales price at June 2019)
This continues to show that Wellington County’s real estate market is holding steady as we move into our 2019 summer real estate market.
