Day 6 of giving is proud to feature Wellington Brewery as the local business of the Day!

Wellington Brewery is one of Canada’s oldest independently owned microbreweries. Based in Guelph, Ontario, they craft award-winning beers in small batches using the freshest all-natural ingredients. Since 1985, they have been a pioneer in the craft brewing scene by producing timeless, traditional style ales as well as experimenting with new recipes. They believe that beer is best when it’s fresh and made in our community. As an independent and locally owned brewery, they take pride in being an active member of the community, taking part in countless events and supporting charitable causes throughout the area. . Phil Gosling, the original founder of Wellington Brewery, envisioned a brewery that would produce English style Real Ales (also known as Cask Conditioned Beer). These cask-conditioned beers are unfiltered, naturally carbonated and served at cellar temperature. Wellington Brewery was one of the first modern brewers in North America to produce traditional cask-conditioned beers which have become increasingly popular in the last decade.
The past 35 years has seen incredible changes for the local brewery as the craft beer market in Ontario continued to grow. The brewery expanded to accommodate for the demand, with a major addition that added over 12,000 square feet to the building and new lines in 2015. This world class brewing equipment is more efficient, allowing them to produce twice as much beer in half the time, and while reducing the brewery’s environmental impact – this is pure Guelph fashion!
From their humble beginning as one of Canada’s first craft brewers to where they are today, a lot has changed. But what hasn’t changed, is their focus on brewing award-winning, well-balanced beers that bring people together.
