Holy Rosary is a Roman Catholic Parish church in Guelph, Ontario founded in 1956. It was originally part of the parish of Church of Our Lady Immaculate in Guelph. Holy Rosary is a vibrant and active community. As a parish community, they strive to nurture a culture of caring for all persons. They seek to respond compassionately to those within the parish and the wider community and to reach to the world beyond. Strengthened by the Sacraments, they live a faith that cares for the poor, lives the message of justice, respects all creation and builds a culture of life. They offer regular services, church activities and various ministries and have a Mission Possible group which raises funds for Jesuit worldwide mission activities. Holy Rosary Parish pantry also provides short-term food assistance and emergency assistance locally to persons in need within the north-east section of the city by the way of groceries, food vouchers, etc. In addition, donations assist those living within their church boundaries that are in need for the daily items that are most in need.

Over these 12 days of giving, I have been featuring local business to give highlight their presence in the region. Either through their history in the area, the services they provide, or just because the businesses and their owners are genuinely local, caring, and a part of our amazing communities in the tri-city area!
Today, we are going to take a pause from featuring any one business as I want to hear from you, in our community, as to which is your favourite local business, shop, or service provider that does an amazing job. Just tag the business and write a few words as to why it’s your favourite spot or why you would spend your precious consumer dollars with that business. Sometimes the business and products they provide are a reason we shop, sometimes it is the owners and staff that make the difference, or maybe it is what the business stands for and how they are a part of what shapes the community we live in, and sometimes it’s just plain convenience.
